Being one of the most expensive cities to live in globally, it is quite hard to find a good Hong Kong hotel for a really low price.Good thing, there’s Mini Hotel. With room rates starting at 70USD per night, you’re definitely in for a bargain as the boutique hotel promises a cozy and stylish stay, in the very heart of the city.I immediately felt at home upon entering and setting my foot in this clean chic lobby.I usually stay in Causewaybay whenever I’m in Hong Kong. It’s my comfort zone 🙂 This time though, I wanted to try something new and randomly decided to stay in Central… it was the best decision ever.Located in SOHO (super near Lan Kwai Fong, for those into party scene), Mini Hotel is a stone throw away from the business hub of Central.Imagine my delight when I found out that all the restaurants I wanted to try for the trip were so near. Loving the convenience!Offering 196 stylish rooms, Mini Hotel Central has 3 room categories: Solo, Mini, and Smart- ranging from 80 to 120 square feet. For this stay, I stayed in a Smart Plus Room located at the 12th floor.Corridor leading to the rooms… Welcome to my mini but super comfy room!I love how every inch of the room was maximized. It’s very compact but complete with all the essentials- in-room safe, air conditioning, speedy wifi, tv, and all the toiletries. My room came with a balcony! Perfect place to chill and appreciate the Hong Kong skyline while having a cup of coffee 🙂 Looking down from the balcony, I can see the lovely colonial architecture to the left, the Bishop House, and one of Lan Kwai Fong’s famous bars to the right.Love peaceful mornings in Hong Kong 🙂Oh, Mini Hotel also lends out a free handy phone for guests to serve as a guide around the city. It gives the best suggestions on where to eat and what to see in Hong Kong. Not only can you make free international calls with this phone but it also comes with internet access! How cool is that?I love my room! Super perfect place to stay for solo travelers.Did I mention that the hotel is also walking distance from Sheung Wan, the hippest district in Hong Kong? Take this opportunity to explore the surrounding area and enjoy getting lost in time while strolling along the streets of antique shops, contemporary art galleries, and super cool cafes.
