I had my first ever out of the country work trip last May and I’m so happy that my training’s location was in the Land of the Rising Sun- Japan!
I stayed in Shinjuku during the weekdays since the company office is in that area. But since our training ends on a Friday, I decided to extend over the weekend so I can go around the country and eat more yummy Japanese food!
It was quite a commute moving from Shibuya to Asakusa Station but everything was worth it, upon seeing the hotel even from afar.
I love how different the vibe was in this area of Tokyo. Compared to Shinjuku, which is a business district, Asakusa area was very residential and full of culture.
The view that greeted me upon arriving. Amazing, isn’t it?For this stay, I got their smallest room since I was just staying for 1 night.Table area for those who still need to do some work…The restroom’s located behind the bed area. The room was compact but every inch was maximized well. I didn’t feel like it was too small at all. It felt just right. The hotel’s rooftop terrace was one of my favorite spots.Luckily, the weather was great during my visit- Spring transitioning to Summer. The best!
Woke up early on my last day as I definitely wouldn’t miss the famous breakfast this hotel offers.Yup, unlimited freshly squeezed orange juice for everyone!I admit, I drank around 2-3 glasses of this. Super good!Another favorite section of mine- Do-It-Yourself yoghurt with special fresh honey!
Signature curry eggs benedict. This has got to be my favorite hotel breakfast ever! Simple but really great quality. I would come back for this!THE GATE HOTEL ASAKUSA KAMINARIMON, JAPAN
